Have seen some on Amazon and John Lewis, but wanted to know if anyone had any special recommendations.
Def want wood rather than plastic...
Any ideas/suggestions, thanks?

I would reccomend plan toys or pintoy - all their stuff is fab

look on Letterbox website. They have a multi -level garage (£44.99?). Ds has had it two years and LOVES it! He broke off a ramp by climbing on it when he was little (nearly three now) but I can see him using it for years.

Haven't seen it in the flesh, so to speak, but this one looks nice, though expensive.

We got DS the wooden City Auto Garage from the formativefun website for christmas - it is really brightly coloured and has a lift, ramp, shop and carwash. Fairly pricey but worth it I think

oh wow they are all nice thanks, the ones I had seen were Plan and the Letterbox one (saw it on Amazon too), but now I can't decide as the others are great too, may have to defer to DH!!

While you're at it, the pin toys wooden fire engine (Letterbox, Formative fun) has been the best toy ever! Also two years old, very loved and still very much used.

Thanks for that rebeccalm, is it this one

Couldn't follow the link but it's a 'star buy' at £29.99. I also bought the firefighters but didn't give him the accessories until recently. He is nearly three now, was given it at 18months and I can honestly say he's loved it. Have just bought it as a christening gift for an 8 week old baby boy!!

Thats the one, thanks v much, it looks great. We need sth for my DS 2.5 as new baby on its way.
DH vetoed the trampoline which I had picked out for DS, thought it was too boring and that boys toys would be much better, my theory is he just wants to re-live his youth!!

also a bit tricky to put the trampoline in the cot 'from baby'!! By boy's toys you know he means Scaletrix?! Garage would get tons of use - our DS just loves lining up cars so make sure you have tons.

If you fancy somethiing different, how about a wooden firestation complete with fireman, fireengine and furniture at www.gltc.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=G9432&categoryid=toymb&language=en-GB. We got this for our 3yr old at Xmas - and he loves it!
