Polly Pocket - will I live to regret it?!

DD's birthday is coming up and she loves her snap n style doll so I was wondering about getting her some polly pockets (thought they would be nice and portable for holiday too) but I heard a couple of mums outside school complaining that they hate them and the bits are always everywhere! Will I live to regret it if I buy her some (also have a 2yr old ds...he's past the putting things in mouth stage but still wondered if the bits might be a bit tempting!)?

Get the magnetic ones (Quick Click) not the ones with stretchy rubbery clothes as these rip unless she can be very gentle. Shoes are a pita , tiny and easy hoovered up or lost and some accessories can be small but if you choose sets carefully you may avoid the worst or take the tiny pieces away. Have a zip up bag or container to keep it all in too.

DD (3) has just got into PP quick click and she has played non-stop with them. Agree about a bag or box for them - DD has a plastic sandwich box with a hinged lid. She doesn't seem to bother with the bigger pieces - car etc - at the moment, but loves dressing the dolls.

Bits do get everywhere but at least they are small bits and easier on the eye and soles of feet than a scatter of little people or duplo LOL
