My twins will be 16 months in october when our new baby is due...obviously for first few weeks sling + double pushchair. And also there will be lots of help initially so can split them up BUT there will be times when we want to transport all 3 together, so what's worked for other MNers ? Does anyone know if you can still get a trad silver cross twin pram ? And what about those seats you put on top of them ? We have a while I know but my nanny and I were discussing it last night....she is not ' big ' on slings you see !

Erm a Phil&Teds e3 with a buggy pod?

Trouble is, most of the good doubles with bolt ons like an extra toddler seat (eg Emmaljunga, Bertini) are designed for nb twins and older toddler, rather than the other way round. Unless you get a vast triple - I once saw a triple Mountain Buggy on our high street, and PegPerego do a huge tandem style thing, but with 3 seats/2 seats + carrycot.

What is a buggy pod, hilllary ?

Def, not a phil and teds with a buggy pod! We tried that and it was incredibly unstable, almost flipped completely over when going down a kerb (seemed ok on the flat) - was very dangerous. We returned the pod and got our money back.

I really like the adventure buggy twin with toddler seat - it's a twin side-by-side 3 wheeler with a toddler seat above the hood of the buggy, clipping onto the handlebars - but that would mean your older 2 would have to take turns on the toddler seat.
Triple mountain buggy also very good, but wide - at least they can all nap at once.

I saw a triple Mountain Buggy in the park last week. It was cool, and seemed very manouverable, but quite wide as the seats are side by side (by side).

You can also replace one of the seats on the MB with a pram thingy so the baby can lie flat.

Mountain Buggy with carrycot looks great ! Thanks...will prob go for that if no one has any better ideas....Also see it takes ages to order..
