I'm not sure, now I think about it I just remember someone telling me to make sure I got the latest model to get the good brakes. Sorry if I've panicked you unnecessarily.

Can you perhaps phone kiddicare in the morning and ask?

i have the 2003 Kiddicare xt and it does have the new breaking system.
