I have a 3 month old baby girl and i'm thinking about buying a new pram because i've had to make do with a second hand pram and it's just to big and not want i wanted at all, my dad has given me some money to put towards getting a new pram and i'm thinking about buying a stokke, i saw one the other day and i thought it looked really great and fun looking, but i want to make sure it's a good pram to buy as this might be my only pram for the next 18 months, what do you think of the stokke xpolory? thank you.

ooh go on!!! as long as you don't live near me in wales!!! I have the bright blue- and i love it!!! you have to be prepared for people stopping you though and bear in mind the comments aren't always "oh what an unusual/stunning pram" they tend to also say "looks like something from a bloody spaceship" and such like! They are very unusual, i am the only xplory owner i have ever come accross in my neck of the woods!
but handling wise you can't beat them- turn on a sixpence, lightish, great to get up stairs and on the beach or rough terrain, lovely to have lo facing you at a sensible level as well!

just get the actual buggy- although the footmuff is pretty cool- but if your budget won't stretch to it then you can get cheaper versions! the shopping bag, raincover and seat pads etc are included, the changing bag is useless, might want to look at the parasols for summer too but again there are cheaper versions!

I am fairly happy with my buggy, it is easy to push/turn etc and dd seems to like being high enough to see everything. Downsides are that it gets irritating very quickly when practically everyone stares or stops you in the street to ask about it, it is fairly heavy (although I have to traipse it up the stairs to our flat) and mine has needed a few things replaced on it even though has only been used for 4 months. Am happy overall though!

Forgive my ignorance but how do they not fall over, and how do those little tiny wheels handle kerbs etc?
(seriously?)

flightattendant · 10/05/2007 18:01

Oh no I see, sorry, the wheels are bigger than I thought. Still looks a bit top heavy?
How old can you use them till?
