I have a tefal pro and several people who have borrowed it - including my unpleaseable MiL have coveted it.

ARRRRGH I just looked and mine - a tefal pro 525 has been DISCONTINUED!!!! What will I do if it breaks. My ironing kudos will be destroyed!

twinsetandpearls · 08/05/2007 18:21

I have a phillips azur and it is very good £45 with amazon

I think I paid over £50 for mine

SoapOnARope · 08/05/2007 18:28

I've got that one tsap £46.99

it's excellent - all Philips azur irons are good

twinsetandpearls · 08/05/2007 19:32

best iron I have ever had and qute masculine looking so dp will use it

nickytwotimes · 08/05/2007 19:34

i've got a breville diva - dead steamy

MegaLegs · 08/05/2007 19:34

I'm crap at ironing - mine goes phsssssssttttt and loads of stema comes out but everything still looks creased. Why is that then?

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 08/05/2007 19:37

I've got a steam press and it irons eveything in quick time and it goes pppppppppshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh in a very growly way

seriously tho, it does make ironing go much faster and it's actually quite fun.. plus you can sit down and do it, I usually plonk mine on the coffee table and watch telly with piles of lovely things all over the sofa

definitley recommend it

tortoise · 08/05/2007 19:43

I have a Tefal too. So much better than the cheapy one i used to have!

suedonim · 08/05/2007 19:53

A steam generator, that's what you need, they're brilliant! I can whizz through the ironing in half the time of a normal iron. They're getting cheaper all the time. I paid about £150 for mine a couple of years ago but JLP now has a version for around £70. And they go pssssshhhhhhh like a rocket going to the moon!

Haven't a clue what you are all talking about! What's an iron????

SoapOnARope · 08/05/2007 20:22

lol lapin

I had a steam generator

for a day

bobbins!

ScoobyDooooo · 08/05/2007 20:23

Oh yes you must get one of the steam generator ones they are expensive but well worth it, you only have t iron 1 side of everything & you fly through the ironing, my friend has one & we are getting one when we move, i would pay anything to cut my ironing time, it sucks!!

suedonim · 08/05/2007 20:23

LIF, I can't honestly say yes to that Q, though it does make it easier. But having a housekeeper who does all the laundry is a 100% way to guarantee you don't get RSI from ironing. I'm enjoying it while I can.
