Babydans. How do you use yours?

Have just bought one as ds is crawling and climbing now.
We've mainly bought it so it can be used as a room divider to block off all entrances to the stairs.

I've got to wait for the wall fixings to come from Babydan too so I thought I'd use it in its cgae mode for the time being

How do you use yours and do your children like the cage?

my friend uses hers in the garden - stretched out like a fence

skirmish · 08/05/2007 08:07

oz was lovely...i still feel sick as a dog most of the day, not helped by the overwhelming tiredness and the fact that ds is waking at 5am every morning!

did you get a new date for baby? i didn't get much time to check archives to see what had happened at scan

Nbg · 08/05/2007 08:14

Oh bummer about the sickness. Hats off to you managing it on top of a trip to oz!

Not got new date yet. My scan is a week today. JARM has hers next monday.
Whens yours?

jet lag makes sickness one hundered times worse!

scan next monday...hate the waiting - always have a bad feeling about them

Nbg · 08/05/2007 08:19

Ah so we're all roughly same time then.
I hate them too.

Hmmm that doesnt sound too bad LL.

I dont think ds will like being put in it. He hates his cot so this doesnt stand much hope!

I have one and have had it since ds was about 5 months. I started by putting him in his gym in it, then when he got too big for his gym, just put toys and books in with him. I used it so I could get some jobs done without having to take him around with me.

I still use it for him (he is 21 months) so if I have to do something like washing/ hoovering/getting pram out to go out I can put him in it and not worry he is going to torment his little sister (4months).

He is happy most of the time init, sometimes protests, but mostly happy in it.

I also use it to keep his toys in, so he can go in and out to get them as he pleases.

I was planning to get the tent too now he is older to use as a play house.

I think it was worth every penny to me, as when I leave him in it, I know he is safe. Never used it as a room divider though.

mankyscotslass · 08/05/2007 16:00

mine is being used as a play pen at the moment. Been used as a tree guard for xmas tree, fires guard and room divider, and cd rack protector! Had it for nearly 5 years, used it for all 3 of my lovley monsters.

McDreamy · 08/05/2007 16:01

We bought the cover to make into a play house. Is now a den!!

purpleturtle · 08/05/2007 16:11

Think you know ours is in cage mode. Ds2 does tend to stand at the door screaming if I leave the room. But at least I know where he is.

Dragonhart · 08/05/2007 22:37

Purpleturtle, my ds is the opposite. Wont stay in it if I am in the room but is quite happy to play in it if I leave!
