Bisell pro heat cleaner can you only use bissell products in it?

It says in the manual oly to use their products, dp says this is to make you only buy their products and we could get away with using something cheaper.

Has anyone used anything else?

Where are people buying their bissell formula from?

Yeah that's bollocks that is. It's all sodium laureth sulphate at the end of the day!

we have a bissell carpet cleaner and use cheap carpet shampoo in it. Big bottle from Wilko's for 99p - much better than the £4.99 or whatever argos are charging!

oh and the cheaper stuff lasts longer too because you dont need to use as much!

good was started to worry how much this was going to cost me as I had used all my free samples in one day.
