Contents insurance - who is best?

Just had some post today to remind me that my household contents insurance is due for renewal next week.

My current one is with Endsleigh and the renewal cost is £239 for the year.

That's with sum insured of £25000, unspecified personal effects of £4000 and specified personal effects of £1200. This last one will need increasing though as it hasn't yet got DH's new Plasma screen on it which I think will have to go on too.

Actually £12 of premium is for legal expenses which can come off - DH is solicitor anyway so we can get that for free!

Don't need buildings insurance as that is part of the service charge here.

So who do you use and who do you recommend (or not)?
