Would really appreciate any advice more experienced Mums can offer on this.
We have a fireplace with a log burner which sits on the hearth i.e. it isn't recessed into the open fire hole. I need to get a fireguard to protect our toddler but as the log burner is on the hearth I'm not sure if the depth of a usual fireguard is sufficient to stop her reaching through or over the top.
The log burner is 39 cm deep and the depth of the guards I've been looking at is about 72 cm - so about 30 cm away from the burner max. Also the height of them is about 70 cm and I'm worried she may be able to reach over (now or later).
This is the sort of thing I have found so far: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MM4R3DY/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?tag=mumsnetforum-21
I'm uploading a picture to help visualise it. Any thoughts on whether there is a workable way to solve this? Thank you :)
