my legs haven't seen the sun since 1985...well, they look like that anyway. Am very scared of fake tan though as everyone launches into David Dickinson and orange knees stories the minute you mention it....HELP ME

The johnsons daily moisturiser is good, but the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan is brilliant, you apply it like makeup its instant then wash it off when you are finished!! I use it every day

the johnson one made my legs tingle it was scary.
I use the Dove Summer glow body lotion rather than actual fake tan. My legs never tan, its so odd having a bronzed top half and lily white legs!

Yes, a friend mentioned the dove one too. Is the one you mentioned (hillls) like a bronzer/powdery thing? Does it not come off on your clothes?

Lancome Flash Bronzer is quite expensive but goes on nicely and gives you a bit of a shimmer. It's a fake tan though rather than the moisturiser type ones.

I like L'oreal Sublime bronze, its quite pricey but worth it. It sprays on and you don't have to faf about rubbing it in etc. Tan develops in a couple of hours and lasts a long time. The light one is quite natural looking, not orangey at all, before you put it on make sure you exfoliate etc, time consuming and a pain but worth it to get a nice even tan. Try to avoid knees and ankles, as however careful you are these areas always tend to really soak it up. Good luck.

Hi Dances no I was talking about the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan, you can buy it from boots/Winkinsons/supermarkets. Its made by Rimmel and its makeup so all you have to do is apply it to exposed parts like face arms feet etc, you can buy it in all different shades and in matte and shimmer so suit you, It comes in a tube and goes on like moisturiser it dries quickly and lasts forever (unless it rains or someone spills a drink on you) You can buy it in a powder too. I used to use SanTropez but found the instant makeup much easier and less messy (Its only about £2.99 a tube, which lasts ages) It does rub off a little bit but not noticeable but all fake tans rub off to a degree anyway. I like the idea of being able to wash it off and start again, none of that wait and see business

Oh & you dont have to excofoliate before hand either
