help with carseats

Hello, hope someone can advise me on this. My daughter is 9 months old and nearly 21 lbs, so am now thinking of moving to the second stage carseat and think I have decided on the Britax Ranger as it is so light and portable (don't have a car myself, so it needs to be!). However, my worry is that it just uses the adult seatbelt and doesn't seem to use a 5-point-safety-harness as well, which a lot of the others do. Do you think this is a problem for a child this small and has anyone else got this carseat and used it with such a small child? It just seems that a child could maybe wriggle out if it's just relying on the adult seat belt...

i've done tons of reading up on this the last few days. Everything I've read says you MUST NOT move a child to the next stage until they are definitely at/over the minimum weight requirements.

I also read that it's common for babies in rear facing seats to have their legs bent against the back seat & this is not a safety issue. Also, while it looks uncomfortable for us adults, babies are a lot more flexible, plus being used to curled up, it probably doesn't bother them as much as we think it would. Hope this helps & hang on in there till 9k, dixie!
