Loc8tor

I don't work for the company and this is not an ad. Just a rave review!

I no longer run round the house like a mad woman shouting 'My keys, my keys!!!!! Muy phone, my phone!!!!! where the hell is my purse??????'

Truly fab bit of kit!

They're not cheap are they?!

Blandmum · 25/04/2007 18:10

No, but utterly life changing!

It was my xmas pressie from DH and I love him for it!

That does look fab, dh could do with one of those - currently I perform that function for him and I'm bored.

Actually, I could do with one for dd, I keep mislaying her around the house. She is like a ninja and just vanishes silently (usually to do a poo in a cupboard somewhere).

weepootleflump · 25/04/2007 18:11

Wow! I'd love one, I spend my life searching for things and saying 'wish I could page it'

Blandmum · 25/04/2007 18:11

no kidding there is a panic button that you can put on the kids that goes off if they stray too far away from you!

I have bookmarked this for dh's birthday. Truly, it is just what he needs.

Oblomov · 25/04/2007 18:27

God that looks fab.

Lullabyloo · 25/04/2007 19:28

MB....you are a complete star...I believe you may have changed my life & saved me from murdering dh!

Thankyou...

GameGirly · 26/04/2007 12:26

You may just have solved DH's 40th birthday pressie. Brilliant! Thanks for that!

WigWamBam · 26/04/2007 12:31

If anyone's thinking of buying one, you can get an extra homing tag free (worth £12.50, apparently) if you quote "Let's Go Guide" when you order - either online or over the telephone.

misdee · 26/04/2007 12:33

this is what i need lol

sweetheart · 26/04/2007 12:34

I might be being really thick but couldn't you loose the locator thing just as easily as your keys or mobile?

AngharadGoldenhand · 26/04/2007 12:35

This is what dh needs.
Currently I am his locator.

PippiLangstrump · 26/04/2007 12:39

I wish it was DH's bthday today! it will not make his life any better - it's mine that will be revolutionised! At the moment I am his loc8or!!

PippiLangstrump · 26/04/2007 12:40

AG I did not mean to copy you (or stalk you for that matter!)

Chocolateface · 26/04/2007 13:29

I really wnat the Loc8tor Plus. I always wondered why they didn't make them!!
Thenakyou!

PinkTulips · 26/04/2007 13:31

what happens when you loose the loc8ter?

because thats what i'd do!

swanseadaddy · 26/04/2007 15:19

wigwambam: which site online can you get the extra homing device and for which package ie loc8tor or loc8tor plus

WigWamBam · 26/04/2007 16:30

You can only use the code on the official site - the one mb linked to.

It says you can use it "when you buy any Loc8or personal homing device".

Tis valid until the end of December.

lemonaid · 26/04/2007 16:39

PinkTulips -- I asked that when mb first posted about it a few weeks back. Looking through the site, apparently you can get "panic tags" that will set off an alarm on the unit when you activate them. So my provisional plan if I get one is to attach a panic tag to something I am definitely not going to use (like the wall) and then it will always be there for me to activate if I can't find the unit. I don't know if there's a flaw in that plan.

MamaG · 26/04/2007 16:41

?After spending 7hrs trying to find my missing £400 cat I bought your product - its wonderful.? Adrian - Stroud

who spends that much money of an effing cat? My mum had one of htose keyrings that beeped when you whistled. it was from a pound shop. I had an anti-tetanus jab at hospital once after standing on a rusty nail as a kid, I shrieked and her keys beeped

lemonaid · 26/04/2007 16:44

Reading it again, there is a flaw. You'd need to leave it permanently in Alert mode, which is not recommended. And it would stop you using Alert mode if you took it out of the house.

Rethink required on my part. This (likelihood losing the Loc8tor (hmm, shouldn't it be Loc8or?) is the only reason I'm not getting one, so I'd like to think of a way round it.
