DS1 has somehow managed to ruin 2 sprung mattresses in only a few years. They were expensive ones, but they weren't the cheapest either and we can't afford to keep replacing them every couple of years. So, we are thinking about getting him a foam mattress on the basis that he can't break the spings if there are none!
None of us have ever slept on a foam mattress before so I wondered if anyone here might have some suggestions on good ones?
We have no idea how he breaks the springs - he claims not to be jumping on it and he is pretty slim so definitely not too heavy for them. Goodness only knows what he's been doing.....
I have looked online and the plan was to try some in some shops but it looks like lots in the shops eg Bensons seem to be foam on top of springs, which we don't want. Amazon seem to have loads that are all foam - mostly a layer of memory foam over normal foam, which looks more promising, but the reviews are pretty mixed.
We don't really have any money to spare but would be able to find up to about £150 if needed as his current bed is appalling and he isn't sleeping well at all. It is a single bed.
Any recommendations / comments / suggestions? Thanks
