best locks to keep floor standing kitchen cupboards closed?

Our little one is opening all the kitchen cupboards non -stop - we move her to the other end of the room but she is straight back there. We can't move the contents of all out of the cupboards.

There seems to be lots of differnet types of these locks which work a bit differently. My daughter manages to get the locks on my friends cupboards open easily. Please can someone recommend ones that seem to work - they can't damage the cupboards either as we are currently staying with friends. Thanks very much.

Stair gate across door to keep her out of kitchen?

I moved anything hazardous/poisonous/dangerous up to a wall cupboard and only have plastic containers and child-friendly stuff in the lower cupboards. I have also tied an elastic band around the handles of the one cupboard that has non-child-friendly stuff in it...

if you have cupboards with handles in pairs you could try one of these - if not there are adhesive ones that you can stick inside where they won't show and don't need screwing in - the one based on suckers looks rather neat and won't even leave a sticky patch.

Agree that Mumpbump has the right idea of only sfae stuff in lower cupborads, but if you're staying away from home that might not be feasible.

Very difficult situation if you are living with friends at the moment. imo, the only thing you can do, is ask if you can put a pressure mounted gate across the kitchin door. That way, there'll be no screw holes in the wall for that either. Its that or you'll just have to keep on following her around and saying no, until she gets the message!

we sit in the kitchen as it is a huge Witchen come living room so is a nightmare!
