Does anyone have one of these and do you like it?
Ours has just about given up, I definitely want a cylinder but could do with a recommendation.
Thanks

I'm crap at anagrams

we have a dyson and it's great. ONly part I hate is emptying the cylinder and washing it every now and then. Very very yucky

notlob · 23/07/2004 20:02

Hana, is it an upright or a pull behind you cylinder?

pull behind, the bright yellow one. Most of our floors are wooden - but has various attatchments for carpets, hairs, etc

Flip · 23/07/2004 20:32

Am I right in BOLTON?

Janh · 23/07/2004 20:35

notlob, I have an upright Dyson (red and purple) and it's great but keeps having nervous breakdowns. Have now bought a Miele cylinder, which has a bag but sucks like stink anyway - got this one . Definitely comforting to have a reserve and it's much better for stairs etc, and going round the edges.

Yes, Flip, you're right. Sorry I went off to do battle with my old Hoover.

I live in Westhoughton.

Well hello Local Girl. A friend of ours was asking if I knew anything about schools in W/H. It wasn't for her it was a friend of a friend etc. Maybe you could help - it was St. James' Daisy Hill.

So I know you then do I?

Flip · 23/07/2004 22:04

Is your son any good with Knex?

notlob · 23/07/2004 22:32

No sorry I wasn't saying I know you. It was a genuine enquiry about the school. Do I take that misunderstanding/confusion to mean that you do know the school. Good or bad???

My son goes to St James, Daisy Hill. It's an excellent school and my father also works there. The SATS results weren't as good as another school in Westhoughton but St James has twice as many children. It's very well funded and I've joined the PTA. They get new computers every couple of years from the University my dh works at. They have two ITC suites and a full time technician. Also they have excellent sports teams. I can't say enough good things about it. I think they have a website. I'll enquire with their techy (my dad).

Thanks Flip. She has looked at the Ofsted report on the internet but just wanted a parent's opinion. I've passed your comments on to my friend to then pass again.
Still no decision with the Dyson. I've just taped the old one up for now as the pipe is coming away.
