Stokke cot bumper - does it need to be their own brand?

Hi,
I have held out on getting a bumper for our Stokke up until now. Now my 9mo DS seems to be rolling a lot in his sleep and I keep hearing him bump his head. The Stokke bumpers are really expensive, does anyone know if I can just use a generic brand on it? Ta

I'd be careful, at that age he will probably just be finding his feet and could use them to lever over the side. Unless he is waking up it won't do him any harm.

As the Stokke cot is oval shaped I wouldn't think a.n. other brand would fit it. I just got one a brand new one from Ebay at much less than the retail price and some Stokke sheets and a new matching drape too so my advice would be to keep checking on there. Have to say that last time I used our Stokke cot for DD I didn't bother with a bumper and she didn't seem to mind. Only really bought this one cos it was a bit of a bargain and matches the rest of the Stokke stuff I have.

I think it is waking him up, but he is also teething, so will watch for another week and then decide, thanks both. I also bougth my cot and sheets on e-bay for a fraction of the retail price
