This is so cool and I want to share it with everyone.
PLEASE READ ON
There is currently a very simple, cheap and easy way to get a brand new iPod.

I couldnt believe how easy it was myself until I gave it a try and found that there is absolutely no risk involved.

Give it a go - you've got nothing to lose and could save yourself a lot of money. All it involves is getting a few friends to sign up for a free trial ..... READ ON

They will probably have to stop doing these promotions as word spreads how easy it is to so take advantage of it whilst there is still time!

Follow these steps to get yourself a free Ipod for just a little bit of time and effort. 100% legitimate!!!

Apple.real-incentives.com/?referral=19863

STEP 1: Follow the above link( copy and paste)

STEP 2: Register. This costs nothing and you don?t even have to go on with the offer after this if you don?t want to.

STEP 3: Now you get to choose from a number of offers from different companies (you don't get sent junk mail) - You need to complete one of these offers. This will activate your account and give you a credit so when you have enough referrals you can claim your item.
Without completing the offer you will not be able to recieve it.

I would suggest using the Lovefilm free trial offer as you dont need to pay any money upfront. Just remember to cancel the trial before 14 days if you don't want to stay a member. (NOTE: pick dvd titles then wait for 1 dvd to be dispatched then cancel your membership via the freephone number or by email when you recieve the dvd, just simply posting it back in the pre-paid envelope. (But dont apply and cancel in the same day)

STEP 4: Refer people. Lets all enjoy getting free ipod's whilst the offer lasts!
JUST CHECK OUT THE LINK FOR YOURSELF!

Still not convinced?

Watch this feature on the BBC Newsnight program as it explains exactly how these companies make their money and how they can afford to give away these items:

These friend referrals... how do they work? Do they just want friends email details? Or do the friends you refer have to sign up for stuff too?

MerlinsBeard · 22/04/2007 14:43

u do need to complete the offers as well as refer friends and your friends also have to complete the offers

ViscountessPetitLapin · 22/04/2007 14:51

Sorry for being a party pooper but I don't trust these companies. This one looks like a one man operation, the mysterious "Mr A C Tindal"?! And you have to give your address, and date of birth (although obviously you can give a false DoB), and you have no opt-out of junk mail.

rjpmother, I'm sorry if this is unfair to you, but you have only posted a few times and not for over a year... presumably this code is your referral, so you are looking for a free computer? It seems bloody cheeky to come on here and get people to sign up. Can't you ask your friends?

SherlockLGJ · 22/04/2007 14:59

Agree with the French Rabbit.

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 22/04/2007 15:01

it's a load of bollocks. firstly, you have to sign up to one of the offers. secondly, you have to refer 5 friends and they all have to register on the site. Thirdly, if you do that your inbox will be inundated with more junk email and spam than you will ever be able to handle.

and lastly...

that's not your writing is it? you've just copied/pasted that from an email which you received from said site, so I imagine you haven't actually received a free ipod yet.

don't do it.

fireflyfairy2 · 22/04/2007 15:04

My friend sent me this ages ago for a free mobile phone. It's a pile of shite.

Moomin · 22/04/2007 15:17

why's it a pile of shite? The newsnight video was legit... is it just because the op hasn't been here long and is looking for people to sign up on her account?

might be being really dumb but if you're asking your friends to sign up (not like the op seemingly) and then you all cancel, where's the catch - apart from the junk mail which I get in spades anyway

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2007 15:20

Some of these sites are legit. I just object, like others, to the sneaky way the OP has tried to get people to use her referal link.

It is possible to get freebies if you do it as a group of friends. Unfortunately, like pyramid selling, someone is always going to be at the bottom of the pile and not get anything out of it.

fireflyfairy2 · 22/04/2007 15:21

The mobile phone one was a pile of shite, as 24 of us signed up & never received anything!!

ViscountessPetitLapin · 22/04/2007 15:27

From the T&Cs for that site:

"real-incentives.com is allowed to deny credit for any offer for any reason. "

Moomin · 22/04/2007 15:32

so is it worth it or not? I watched the newsnight video and I signed up am i stupid? Was going to get 5 friends who I don't think will mind signing up as well

ViscountessPetitLapin · 22/04/2007 15:34

I'd advise anyone signing up to stuff like this to create a hotmail account specifically for this purpose, and give a false date of birth; your name, address and DoB in conjunction is quite powerful information!

ViscountessPetitLapin · 22/04/2007 15:34

In fairness, Gavin Esler did say he would sign up for it .

Moomin · 22/04/2007 15:47

think i will stay with same email address for now - it couldn't physcially be more spammed (bloody Orange crap) then change for my official stuff. Think I will go for it, see what happens.

Pist orf that I have been duped into being one of op's referrals though . notice she hasn't been back since.

KaySamuels · 23/04/2007 08:31

I had a good look at the terms and conditions and they basically say they can change the terms and conditions any time they like . That in itself has put me off, don't want anymore spam - got enough on my plate with blummin freecycle mail - and I would not be cheeky enough to ask my friends either! I too would never give out all my personal info to something like this, way too risky!

rjpmother · 23/04/2007 21:11

Wow!!!
Look, I feel a little yelled at right now!!!!

The referal process is something that you can chose to do or not. I thought that I would give it a go!!...and ... I agree with not emailing the link like a chain letter to all my friends and family as they may feel pressured into signing up and this is not what I am about!I put a link in areas that I feel would (perhaps) be of interest to others.

I have no problems with people discussing this issue of pyramid sales of any kind, but it seems that because I havent signed into mumsnet for a long time I am the target of bitching!!!! Not by all of you.

For the record I havent signed up to mumsnet for ages because I havent had any time, had another baby...so thats 2 under 2.. and an elder one ..mayhem!!!
and no I am after a new comp.

I thought that this was a friendly site.... where info and interests could be shared???
