Me again - has anyone had a Recaro car seat?

I had a thread earlier about needing a car seat to fit in a TT - thanks to zippi I've discovered Audi mainly sell Recaro (and I thikn Graco) seats to fit the TT. On the Which tests the stage 1 seats don't get great results. Has anyone got one of these?

Just bringing this to the top again in case anyone knows about these seats.

DD has what I think looking it up is a Recaro Start. It's one of the ones that goes up to age 12 which I wanted as she isn't very heavy and doesn't have very good muscle strength and I wasn't happy about her having a booster seat when she out grew her previous seat round about 4. At the time it did well in the Which report, but I will admit to not knowing how it did in more recent ones.

Dd has a Recaro Start; it's a lovely seat. It's sturdy and well-made, but has plenty of padding so very comfortable. It's quite lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean, and all the fabric parts are removable and machine washable. It's also easily adjustable as they grow, both height and width-wise.

Like chocolateteapot, we looked at the Which reports before we got it and it did well - but I don't know how it's fared recently.

If you go for one, I'd recommend you get the optional footrest as well, it's well worth spending the extra money on.

We have a Recaro Start too. It was the only one that would fit in our Audi (A6 Avant, non-isofox). I can't vouch for its safety or otherwise, but it seems very comfortable and well made, and it is very easy to put in and out. We've used it in other cars too with no problems at all.

The only downside is that they're quite pricey.
