I'm looking to buy a used Range Rover but my husbands complaining they cost to much to insure and to much in fuel. Anyone have any experience or can give me any information ?

Depends what model and engine, they are v heavy on fuel, evoke not too bad considering. Have you got kids? Travel far? I'd love a Range Rover sport but have come to terms with the fact they're just too expensive to run and depreciate like a stone (again depending on year and model).

Yes on both counts. Also massive reliability issues throughout the range, particularly amongst older models, new ones I imagine haven't had a chance to fall to bits yet... Despite my husband's complete love and adoration of his succession of Sports even he eventually had enough and moved on to something else, similarly other family friends have done the same.

I wouldnt even buy a new one - overpriced shit and wholly unreliable. Older/used ones will be worse!

Still, your money....

They do guzzle. What is about the RR that appeals? Have you looked at other SUVs?

I had a vogue and it was a dream to drive, never let me down. It cost a fortune to run and maintain though.

If I had the money I'd have another in a flash, only a Vogue though not a sport or evoke.

Dear Vogue, I loved you. I miss you. I'm now divorced and poor but so much happier. One day I will find you and love you all over again. Maiden x
