thought that looked cheap if anyone is looking for a zapp

OP posts:
mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 10:11

I envy you getting all these at such a good price...but I love my mauve one...I think the Zapp is great, particularly for babies of my dd3's age and up...she's 2 next month.

I hope you all feel proud and happy pushing you dc;s around in such a summery looking buggy!!

fryalot · 23/04/2007 10:59

ooooh, it's fab.

It's fab of the fabbest kind of fab.

I WAS STOPPED BY ANOTHER MUM WHO ASKED ME ABOUT BY PUSHCHAIR!!!!!

Honestly!

The only downside so far, is that when you pull the back up to go up a kerb, you kind of feel that it is going to topple over backwards, although it didn't, it just felt like it.

Didn't get lots of shopping, but it fits my mumsnet shopping bags fine, and I had some reasonably heavy stuff in there and it was ok.

The second woman who stopped me to talk about my pushchair said that she has had hers for years and is really happy with it, but you can't fit too much shopping in the under-seat basket.

dd wanted to sit in it, and there was still bags of room with her, and she is 3 in June, so quite happy about the size.

This is my report, hope yours all arrive soon.

fryalot · 23/04/2007 10:59

my not by

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 11:04

Aqounk..it is amazingly light to push though isn;t it..and turns in such a small circle!!!
I felt silly for being so excited about mine, but I have jhad so many comments on it, particluarly whn dd was in her matching footmuff..it looks like a sleeping bag as it comes over their head too-she was soooo cosy!

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 11:05

sorry Sqounk..notaqounk..

fryalot · 23/04/2007 11:06

oh, you see, now I'm that you got to use the foot muff before summer.

I almost want to move to Norway or something, just so I can get one!

I am quite astonishingly excited and giddy about this pushchair. I can't remember ever feeling like this about a product in my life!!!

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 11:08

Only another owner would understand that feeling...
I must admit DP really likes it, but he doesn't LOVE it like me...

fryalot · 23/04/2007 11:12

(I haven't told dp that I've bought it yet )

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 11:18

Ohhhhh...what is his likely reaction?

I bought mine without telling DP..(it was buggy no.9!!) but he took it well...

fryalot · 23/04/2007 11:31

well, I think that as I have sold a couple of prams, etc. on ebay, and he has pushed the old pushchair with its wonky wheel and its backbreakingly low handles, I think he'll understand, but we're a bit skint at the moment, so am waiting for a handy moment.

(like when he tells me he's spent hundreds of pounds that we don't have )

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 11:41

lol...i waited until we booked our holiday abroad then said we needed one to take with us...

well mine arrived today APPARENTLY!! Left house at 8.30am and got back at 12pm to find a little card wedged in door saying parcel is under patio table. This would be the same patio table that is in an open back garden right on a road and with gate open on full view of this patio tabel! GUESS WHAT?? No parcel!
Am fuming. Have rang Boots and also the courier. Boots say its no problem they will refund if i sign a missing parcel form BUt its out of stock so cant get another one! Whos fault is it? Drivers for leaving in non secure place or mine? Im terrified im gonna get charged still even though i dont have it!

fryalot · 23/04/2007 12:43

there is no way this can be your fault.

They didn't even say that they were coming today so you can't have been expected to wait in for them.

(They guy who brought my lawnmower last week told me that he was bringing my zapp today, but that was unofficial - officially, I am still waiting for it)

For the moment, trust boots when they say that they will refund you. I would be tempted to kick up a bit of a storm about needing it, though - see if they will arrange for another one to be sent out to you.

fryalot · 23/04/2007 12:44

fwiw, the box has QUINNY ZAPP plastered all over it, there is no way that it is not obvious what is in the box.

bonkerz · 23/04/2007 12:47

thanks squonk. have already told BOOTS im in desparate need for this BUT they are out of stock! Apparently i can pay extar to have a black one BUT its another £60 and WHY SHOULD I TBH!!
Was concerned the box would have QUINNY all over it! Boots did say its an OBVIOUS box!!

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 12:47

That's terrible!! I'd complain and get th courier company to pay the extra in compensation to make sure you get one even if it's another colour!!
