Do you mean the little ones that you clean stuff like stains or the bigger carpet cleaning types

oh hello - i'm not sure what i mean tbh
a woman was using one to clean the aga today and she was saying it can be used for glass and tiles in showers, floors, dusting plants, steaming creases out of clothes, cleaning curtains... all sorts!
so i want a real all-purpose thingy to do all sorts with. justr wondered if anyone had one and if so, what type to get, what sort of attachments im looking for etc.

have looked on net briefly and found them ranging fro 40quid to 800+ - no idea what im looking at/for so thought someone may have some pointers.... before i go and get the wrong thing...

I have a steam genie, bought it about 5 years ago, used it once and been tucked away in a cupboard since.

We have a Morphy Richards Grime Buster (5 years old) that we use occasionally. dh uses it to do the over and freezer and I tend to do our shower cubicle with it. Have been very pleased on the whole and it is quite easy to use. Was about £200 at the time although prob cheaper now. HTH

My MIL has one which she bought about five years ago and like mrsshuvel's it has been used very infrequently by her. However, we have used it a lot! It's great for bringing up the pile on your carpet and spot cleaning carpets too. It can be used for windows and ovens etc. I think it's a 'vaporetti'.

we are currently borrowing one from fil.It looks like a small cylinder hoover.I have been trying to clean a large rug.I find it's good for spot cleaning but not so good for general grubbiness.
