I have a shelf to fill and would like to have some childrens information books for my 8 and 5 year old that will interest and educate them, any one know of a good set of books?

Time out do a children's guide to books and is a good reference. i've got one for babies to 5 years but they do them for older children too.

its about £5.99.

There is a really good book called the I Wonder Why Encyclopaedia
It keeps every answer to the dreaded more scientific, mummy why does... do that? As they grow up...
Dorling Kindersly are excellent too.
