Is there such a thing as a LOW campervan (for access from wheelchair)?

We would like to swap our people carrier for a camper van meaning although we'd still have a diesal gobbler it would at least be multi-functional and would provide storage for all our camping gear constantly clogging up the cupboards in the house. Would also create a spare room for summer visitors.

However, the reason we have a PC in the first place is that sometimes we have to get my mum and her wheelchair in the car. Its not very often which is the frustrating thing but as she helps with the cost of the car it is essential.

At the moment she struggles to pull herself up onto the seat in the galaxy so it would need to be something same height or lower. She pulls herself to her feet and then pulls herself onto the seat but she is getting fariler. Thing is that most campers I have seen tend to be quite high. The alternative would be if we could actually pull the chair into the camper - I know the VW transporter has a step which might help, but I'd need to be able to do this on my own).

Any camper van owners out there reckon we could get my mum in your camper?
thanks
Katherine
