Did you see that Trevor McDonald thing the other night about ebay? Some woman had spent 1100 quid on stuff worth about 100, and another woman was making a killing selling exercise machines at more than 100 more than she could get if she had a shop. Some people are just nuts.

Are the barmy ones English or American?

katzguk, they are obviously fitness fanatics that are too lazy to get off their ar*es and go and buy one cheaper at the shops

My friend bought a load of designer earrings for £6 a pair and they sell for between £40-£50 on ebay

We recently sold our old car on ebay for £107. One of the bidders (unsuccessful) lives on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides and was proposing to travel down to Hertfordshire to collect the car.

I asked him if he realised how far away it was. He replied that he would be travelling to Livingston to visit his father and so it wouldn't be much bother to go a little further to us!

Bonkers!

Been slightly put off Ebay by a friend who sold camera where the exposure settings were slightly dogdgy AND was having problem with going through the batteries really fast - none of which were revealed on line.

We have bought loads of stuff from ebay (well DH has), mainly old stuff/collectibles that you cant get anywhere else and we have never been ripped off.

We have also sold lots of stuff (well mainly me) and I try to be honest as possible. You can give feedback so if you want to keep your feedback good if makes sense to be as honest as possible.

Can honestly say we have never had a bad experience.
