Safety stair gates for babies

Hello
Can anyone recommend the best brand/type of these - new to this purchase!

Have seen some in friends houses that never seemed that sturdy to me and came away from the wall in some cases!

Which brand do you use and what do you think?

Also I've seen see through ones - who makes these and do you think they look a bit nicer than the gate ones?

I know what you mean! I got a babydan gate for my DD and I think they are more safer and steadier without any gaps in between. My friend has a Lascal one similar to the babyden and I think it is quite good as well.

We got dreambaby retractable ones, a bit like a roller blind on its side. They are brilliant. Impossible for a child to open and very secure but you don’t really notice them when they are open. Deffo don’t get the ones that leave a bar at the bottom when you open them, they are a nasty trip hazard.
