Climbing frames

DS is 20 months, DD is just 2 months. Anyway, DH has been talking about getting DS a slide and swing etc for the summer. But then he would need a toddler one now, and a bigger one in a year or two.

We have seen some climbing frames with slides/swings that grow with them and yo can add to. But they're about £400. Does anyone have such a thing and are they worth it?

My frind got a swing set for £50 and the little swing seats that convert from all enclosed, (like the baby ones in the park with bars the whole wat round), then you can take off the front, so its like a chair, and then when they are old enough, take off the back of the chair so it looks liek a normal swing seat...

The stores only in ireland otherwise Id link it but heres the seat /link{http://www.toys.ie/product_details.jsp?npc=D10966\here} as an example

We have

this one

it hasn't been used yet as we are still waiting to be able to walk on the new turf, but it's a good size, strong and I think quite attractive-looking compared to some.

heres something for now Theres lots of similar on ebay so you wouldnt be too out of pocket, wait a couple of years then buy something that will last till they grow out of it.

charliecat · 14/04/2007 20:44

heres another

charliecat · 14/04/2007 20:46

then this sort of thing when they are older

charliecat · 14/04/2007 20:47

or this

suzi2 · 14/04/2007 20:48

Yes that's the one lmccrean. That little tykes one looks good charliecat - I might have a look into that. I do like the look of the wooden ones best too greenleeves.

Hmm... not sure what to do. Maybe a cheapo slide and a swingseat that can grow with him.
