talk to me about aqua slides...

Anyone got an aqua slide? Any good? Ds had an absolute blast playing on one at a friend's house last summer but I have a few questions?

Does the hose have to run continuously? Do they ruin your grass? Do they cause lots of accidents? Will I regret it? Optimum age? Is it worth paying extra for the ELC one or will the cheap one that I say in Homebase do?

Basically I'm after ways to make my garden a child paradise cheaply so I can lie on sun lounger or do gardening while LOs play...

Hello again! Not stalking you honestly!

We got the ELC one last year as a pressie...wasnt a big fan of it TBH needed hose on a fair amount and also needs inflated (alot more than it looks...so you really need a pump, I nearly expired after trying to blow it up myself, being pregnant and continually harassed by my DS to "hurry up"!). We have it in the garage still inflated! Have played on a much better cheaper version at cousins house.

DH keen to sell...but I wanted to give it another chance this summer...you could borrow or come try it if you want at some point!

You don't need the hose on all the time if you add a squirt of cheap washing up liquid!! Mine all love ours. DS2 has always called it a belly slide!

tassis · 15/04/2007 18:00

good tip tortoise...what age?

so they're not a nightmare for broken limbs then?

My dd2 used it with help last summer (age 2!).
But i would say 3+ really.
And we have had no accidents...Yet!

Beware, if you leave one out overnight, check underneath it next day before your little'uns squish all the frogs hiding in the damp dark beneath
