Just got back from a weeks holiday in Jersey, disaster, DS most loved toy and constant companion got taken from the hotel room with the dirty towels!! Can't replace from shop as no longer made. Small beanbag (not beanie!) v dark brown dachsund toy with black ears, nose and tail - bought from M&S approx 4 yrs ago. If anyone knows where I can find one - or has any suggestions I'd be most grateful - DS heartbroken!! Thanks.

I imagine you've phoned the hotel and it's definitely gone? If they found it in the laundry, surely they wouldn't just ditch it?

Exhaustive, extensive searches have been made - he went missing on day 1, laundry and hotel scoured from top to bottom, missing notices posted. No luck. Desperation now set in!!!!

have you tried ebay put in a request to see if anyone else might have one for sale or your local paper put in a request there

could you tell Ds that his friend is having an adventure?make stories up where friend is/what he's up to etc

Do you have a pic of it? WE have a practically new m&s dog (about 8 inches long, dark brown, very soft plush 'fur'somewhere. If it is the right one and I can find it (!) you are welcome to have it for ds - we have millions of snugglies and dd will never notice if that one disappears.
