Tall husband struggles to help cook

Hi all, my husband is 6 foot 5 and says he's too tall to help out in the kitchen Hmm

Our counters are normal sized so he has to bend down when chopping, mixing, using the hob etc. and I can't quite deal with his complaining any more!

Anyone got any ideas how to get around this? I managed to get an old ironing board (105cm) off gumtree, though struggling in the kitchen

Thanks!!

Maybe he can just fuck off altogether, save you both a lot of trouble?

thanks for the advice. Just to make it clear, he does help out and wants to continue, just like to make it more comfortable.

Will look into the high butchers block, any idea where I can get a decent one for cheap?

My friends exdh couldn't iron because his hands were too big...

Could you buy one of those plastic steps for toddlers to reach the loo, and put the chopping board on it?

My dh is 6'5" and cooks without issue. He doesn't look very bent over in the kitchen to me and I'd expect him to figure out ways to make it easier himself if he did have problems (eg sitting at our kitchen table or breakfast bar). But then I've never heard him talk about 'helping out' in the kitchen as we generally take turns to feed our family.

More practically OP do you have a breakfast bar or room for one? They are often higher than standard kitchen surfaces.

And why is he "helping"? Why isn't he "cooking"?

My husband is 6ft7 and loves cooking. In a normal size kitchen. Sounds like a lame excuse to me 😂😂
