2nd hand Clarks shoes

Having never worn a new pair of shoes until I was about 10 (I have 3 older sisters) I am sorely tempted to get DD properly measured at Clarks and then buy the right size Clarks shoes much cheaper off ebay.

MIL says I am 'putting her feet at risk'

Is she right? Are there any other ways of getting shoes that don't cost 20 quid a throw as I can't afford it and she really wants to walk outside!

hello my mil bought DS first proper shoes (from Clarkes) they gave her this voucher which means every time i got back and get another pair for him its 5% cheaper. still is quite expensive..but they have introduced a new line that are at least £10 (the ones i got were £12 )cheaper..they really quite sweet, made from a nice embroidered canvas type of material with really funky designs for boys and girls.

TBH Clarks have gone down in my estimation. I have always bought ds's shoes there but the last pair I took back after 2 days as they had worn and changed colour, i got another pair but 6 weeks on he looks like hes had them 6 years (people have even commented on how bad his shoes look )

So no i wouldnt waste £20+ on new ones from clarks, get them from a clarks outlet or ebay

Thanks!
My MIL is hardly short of cash and I mentioned it on the slight, very cheeky off chance she might offer to come shoe shopping with us...but she bought me new tires for the car instead!

I just thought they aren't in them long enough for it to be worth it, even at £10 cheaper that's still over £15...and I can't spare that!
