Lovely Door Knobs Wanted

Tillyboo · 11/04/2007 21:19

I've just finished decorating dd's new bedroom and I'm looking for some nice new door knobs for her built in wardrobe.
The wardrobe doors are white wood and the colour scheme is pink, yellow and lilac.
I'd like either some pretty acrylic crystal ones or perhaps some floral ones.
I'd consider any design tho.
Has anyone any recommendations or suggestions as to where I can source some from ?
Thanks

I bought some wooden hand-painted ones for my dd from The Great Little Trading Company. Other than that, eBay may offer something. If you google them (the knobs, not ebay) you may find some independent retailers / crafts person who makes them.

Have to take ds swimming in a while, but will search for you later if you want.

hth.

Reminds me of when MIL was looking for door knobs. We (how I had got roped in I don't know) were in a shop somewhere, and i was wandering around, bored of MIL's talk, and she piped up
"saltire come and see the knob this man has in his hand, It's too big for me". I was p*ssing myself as was the man and MIL just gathered up her bag and stormed out the shop.
She still get annoyed with me when I tell people.

Where do you live? There's a shop in Sandhurst called 'The Knob Shop' which always makes DS & DD ptsl when we pass it....

SoupDragon · 13/04/2007 17:32

The shop called "knobs and Knockers" always makes me snigger in a puerile fashion.

Tillyboo · 13/04/2007 22:34

We are not far from Sandhurst so we'll pay a visit. Thanks for this !

Is it just me or is the bombay duck site really really slow ??

SoupDragon · 14/04/2007 10:31

I think BombayDuck is quite heavy on graphics

SoupDragon · 14/04/2007 10:33

Seems quick enough for me today though. Cupcake knobs are here although the colours seem darker than they appear on my screen.

SoupDragon · 14/04/2007 10:34

These flower ones are a bargain but be warned, the lilac ones actually look like the fuschia colour, they are in no way similar to the lilac one shown! I had to send mine back

Nbg · 14/04/2007 10:40

B&Q have some gorgeous acrylic clear ones with a little pinky pressed flower in.

I think their £6 each.
They arent on the website though.

ROFL at "The knob shop"
