which pram fits with the Maxi - Cosi car seat?

want to try and buy a second hand one. DS1 hates his pram and we wonder if it's because he's not forward facing. So was thinking that would try to get a second hand/cheap pram that fits with maxi cosi car seat (if tehre is one) that way we can use that for few weeks until he gets bit older and happier to go in other one.

Quinny.

And I've just sold mine really cheaply too.

oh bugger bugger
is it forward facing when you put it on the quinny frame?

no, AFAIK it has to go facing you on the frame, you can fix it to any quinny, a zapp or a buzz or a speedi sx i think.

how old is he?

Nbg · 10/04/2007 08:23

Oh sorry, yes its rear facing not forward.

MrsBadger · 10/04/2007 08:40

I'm afraid whichever pushchair you put it on the carseat will end up facing you, as far as I can tell.
Is he too young to go in the forward-facing pushchair seat of your current pram rtaher than the lie-flat cot bit?

MrsBadger · 10/04/2007 08:41

oh, apart for the Bugaboo, but that's not cheap even second hand...

Nbg · 10/04/2007 08:46

I could recommend the Hauck Infinity pushchair because you can take the seat of very easily have it whichever way you want.
But that doesnt solve your problem if your wanting to use the car seat.

i have both a quinny zapp and a bugaboo chameleon which can both be adapted to fit a maxi cosi car seat. the quinny zap is brilliant and light and i think you can put the car seat around the other way but i would say its not a good buggy for those just sitting up - my daughter was at least one before she didnt look slumped and uncomfortable sat in it and she still cant sleep in it as its too upright. the bugaboo although expensive is the best versatile pram ever and i would be lost without it.
hope you find what you are looking for!!!!

katierocket · 10/04/2007 10:04

ok i'm being really thick here but....
I want him to be facing me. We have a nipper 360 which us great but he is still small (11 weeks) and doesn;t seem to like it. We were thinking he might be happier if he could see us when being pushed. We have the maxi cosi car seat hence the question- I thought I could just put him in car seat and clip to frame.

oh right

I interpreted your initial post 'he's unhappy because he's not forward facing' to mean 'he's unhappy because he can't see where he's going', not 'he's unhappy because he can't see who's pushing him'!

In that case, Quinnys, iCoos, iCandy, Traxx, Hack, Bugaboo, etc, but I'd suggest the Micralite
