Bl**dy Anglian Windows

We got replacement doors and windows as well as gutterings and facias fitted by Anglian in Sept 2006.

We had 3 initial problems - a leak over the bathroom roof - where they had disturbed slates.

Silicone not cememnted over on the kitchen window, and a blardy big whole on my nice wooden window sill in the lounge - in full view of everywhere in the room.

It took me about 4 weeks of calling daily and a hysterical mobile phone message left on the supervisors mobile saying how crap after sales service was before they came and looked at the probs.

Leaks was damaged felt whch they had distrubed - we paid for repair as not actually thier fault.
They cemented the window
The filled the whole with silicone but said is wa a where a nail had been holding n the prev winodw - crap the windows have not been put in a different place and this hole is about 2" in from the window pane.

Anyway - in November we noiced the back door was really stiff when you pulled the handle up to lock it. I called and said it was potentially a compromise to the security of my house, they said someone would call.

January - same call as no response
Feb - same again
March - new automated phone number, and whenever you select the 'report a problem with your product' option it says no lines available and hangs up!

Got through using a different number and told a woman who said by putting 'door will not lock' on her message we will get priority.

April and I am still waiting

Am so hacked off - just wanted to share in case any other MN's ar thinkning of using Anglian - the after sales service is crap - they get your money then ingnore you!!!

Any suggestions to what I should do??

Maybe worth getting intouch with Fensa who maybe able to point you in the right direction. Also Trading Standards

poor you, how dreadful hope you can get it sorted.

Thanks for the info though, we are considering having ours done and can now discount Anglian!

The thing is First - they do seem to have a superior product. Our salesman used to work for Everest and was able to demonstrate and explain the differences. It's just a shame they let this down by absolutley crp customer service and after sales care.
