QUINNY ZAPP - Are they worth it? A few questions before I fork out my dough.

  • How long can you use a Quinny for - I know they're from 6 months, dd is 18 months but they look rather small, what age do the kids outgrow them?

  • can you settle an arguement with me and DH - he thinks it reclines, I dont think it does.

TIA!

the Zapp doesn't recline. Don't know about ages but it doesn't look huge, have to try it out maybe?

ELF1981 there was a recent thread about Quinny with lots of replies, someone else also asking if it's worth the money. If you do a search you should find it.

My 3 year old still fits in it fine. He's not huge though.

the Quinny Buzz seat is pretty generous if that's what you're looking for, but it's bigger (and more expensive) than your average stroller.

FirstAtForty · 06/04/2007 09:47

(the Buzz as opposed to the Zapp I mean)

Well, we have had the M&P from birth, dd loves it, will sleep in it during the day / evenings when I'm at college.
We were wanting something a little smaller now she's older, but maybe its not the one for me - I'm worried that she wont be able to sleep in it and I'm forking out £100+ for something that looks cool but she wont like. I dont think Mothercare will let us borrow one for a few hours to test if she can sleep in it which would answer my question
Back to product reviews I think!

the Maclaren Techno reclines well, folds up small and light and has a reasonably generous seat I think, may be worth a look?

quinny zapp terrible stroller

for following reasons
tips over easily with baby in it
wonky streering
crap suspension
rickety Baby slumped looking extremely uncomfortable

i complained to dorel the manufacturer their answer was non-plussed they basically stated its a second stroller not for daily use - hmm not how they advertise it or made clear in literature

i ended up buying another pram

beware of this pram is really unsafe

ELF1981 · 08/04/2007 14:39

Thanks for the info. DH has already said no for the pram, he doesn't see the point in it. He's happy with the M&P so even though its bigger than the Quinny, he doesn't mind. For holiday he said he's filling to buy a fifteen pound stroller for Argos when in Cornwall and leave it there if I'm worried about boot space!
