We have been given a very smart Action Man bike for ds, but it had no stabilisers. My BIL made some, but to be honest they're lethal. They let the bike rock from side to side far too much, so ds feels very UN-stable on it, and anyway they bend.
Do any of the national chain shops sell just stabilisers?
