Am having problems connecting to internet/email through NTL - anyone else ???

in the last week or so I have had problems connecting to email/internet through NTL. I can dial up to NTL ok but get blank internet pages and for mail cannot connect to server. If I use my backup ISP (redmail) I can get internet access fine.

Is it personal or are others having problems ???? (not that i'm paranoid)

ME, it has been rubish during the last 2 days, I have access but it doesn'trecognise about 90% of the addresses I want to access even very popular ones as BBC and The Guardian, I'm feeling so tempted to switch to another company, any suggestions?

same for me im wondering whether theyre able to cope with all the demand as its been happening to us a lot and when we call them they say its aproblem on their side doing maintenance work but its bloody annoying!!

I need to switch if it carries on like this - but am loathe to lose my email address. Have also been thinking about broadband if I can persuade dh. Know there have been a couple of threads on that already.

One more thing on my never ending list of THINGS TO DO.........[sigh]

try this workaround for ntl broadband

go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections

click on LAN settings and select the Use Proxy Server checkbox. Enter "inktomi2-lee.server.ntl.com" in the proxy server address field and 8080 in the port field

I'm changing to Telewest when I move - I've found ntl OK for internet access but the email seems to go down on a weekly basis. Very annoying.
