The gorgeous Simon Horn mahogany sleigh-style cot bed that becomes a sofa.

Miaou · 14/07/2004 18:05

I used to work in Harrods childrenswear department and would LOVE to have been able to afford to kit my dds out in the lovely clothes in there (Jean Bourget, Petit Bateau etc).

misdee · 14/07/2004 18:06

the little armchair dd wants from john lewis's priced 90quid. not excessive but too much i feel for a childs chair.

a gorgeous pram with everything matching.

gloworm · 14/07/2004 18:17

a house

gloworm · 14/07/2004 18:18

ooops! i didnt see the bit about babies...thought this was just a general wish list!!!

SoupDragon · 14/07/2004 18:35

I don't think there's anything I would have bought that I didn't.

Electric cradle swing.

highlander · 14/07/2004 19:03

everything we've bought so far (cot, pram, car seat) is second hand so I'd love to splash out on ANYTHING new!

When the sprog can sit up, we'd love one of those big Chariot pushchairs. They look dead comfy. And you can attach them to the back of a bike.

Our sprog is just being dumped in the spare room in our wee apartment til we come back to the UK next year - so......a nursery. All beautifully decorated in lemon I think. With a mobile above the cot (maybe he'll be too old by then)

Sigh................

GeorginaA · 14/07/2004 19:15

I'm with Twiglett - I wanted one of those glider chairs (still do!) ... would also have to buy a bigger house to find room for one though

pollyanna · 14/07/2004 19:20

I would clothe my children almost totally in Boden I think. Also I would have liked one of those bugaboo pushchairs for dd2.

BooMama · 14/07/2004 19:21

Miaou - I too used to work in Harrods and now have horrendously high and unrealistic expectations of what children need!!! (not that I can begin to fund it of course!)
I love those BIG gift baskets filled with childrens clothes. It's also made me feel like I need a sheepskin papoose and baby toiletries from Bulgari! To say nothing of the nursery furniture...

katierocket · 14/07/2004 19:37

£50,000 on special mood lighting for the little darlings room? (Well that's what posh allegedly spent on brooklyn's room)

CP · 14/07/2004 19:39

A nanny for the nighttime feeds, then I could be a bit more fun during the daytime!

misdee · 14/07/2004 19:41

i was drooling over a bugaboo in lewis' the other day, but as looked like complete scum that day (morning sickness) i couldnt get an assitants attention to ask about it. serves me right for going in with 2 screaming kids, looking messy and dh looking like poo comapred to all the other cash ladden parents that where in there (looking at cheaper options i might add) lol.

Paula71 · 14/07/2004 21:28

A deluxe three-wheeler twin buggy, those wooden highchairs (Trip Trap? Stokke?) and basically a whole bunch of things I couldn't afford and still can't! I would love to have bought the very best of everything for my ds twins and hate myself for not being able to.

Chandra · 14/07/2004 22:36

A nanny?

florenceuk · 14/07/2004 22:47

definitely a nanny!

marthamoo · 14/07/2004 22:49

Does it have to be baby stuff? I would love to buy the huge wooden castle I have seen in GLTC here for my boys. They would love it! Unfortunately I can neither afford it or fit it in my garden so I would need a new house too...

Easy · 14/07/2004 23:11

A pony for ds (and the land to keep it on, so we could get away from our scummy neighbours)
