Going to try and describe the issue so bear with me.....when your tyres are bold and you can feel the shudder/skid in the tyres well I have felt this in the break a couple of times.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm on about Confused

If your tires are bald you need new tires!

sharklovers · 12/09/2017 20:26

Not really! Are you talking about the ABS activating? It would feel like a pulsing through the brake pedal when braking hard. Are your tyres bald?

MorningCuppa · 12/09/2017 20:29

Is it the wheel bearing?

Cupoteap · 12/09/2017 20:42

Defo not my tyres Grin had a full new set earlier this year and do not drive far. Was just trying to explain the sensation I can feel

It's been my car for 6 years so having this happen twice in two journeys has trigger a warning light in my head.

Wheel bearing - could be do have to go over lots of bumps.

Have recently lost my trusted mechanic and don't want to be taken for a ride boom boom

It was my brakes for me.

eurochick · 12/09/2017 20:52

Your post is quite difficult to understand but it sounds like the ABS. Try braking more gently. It should only be kicking in very occasionally, like when you need to do and emergency stop.

SheGotOffThePlane · 12/09/2017 20:53

Could be your brakes - more specifically your calliper. Mine needed replaced recently and if you leave it too long without fixing it can damage your discs and pads.

SheGotOffThePlane · 12/09/2017 20:55

I could feel mine like a shuddering - at first I thought it was the road surface on the mway.

Cupoteap · 12/09/2017 20:56

Thanks all, will try and find someone to check it out.

I initially thought abs- but unusual to find it has kicked in more than once in such a short space of time- unless you have found yourself in a few unfortunate situations. ABS feels like the car is grinding into the tarmac.

Could you explain a little more clearly as I don't understand bold tyres!

Sounds like your brakes.
