Mamas and Papas Aton car seat

I bought this car seat as part as a bundle last year and since we started using it 5 months ago, the hood has popped off its hinges twice.

My local store closed so I've already made 2 hour round trips to get this fixed only for it to happen a third time. I've rang customer services and they want me to take it back to the store so they can look at it again.

I asked for a replacement but she said they wouldn't do that.
Anything I can do?

I'm pretty sure under consumer law they have to replace a faulty item if it can't be fixed and it sounds pretty faulty to me.

maybe try and see what trading standards say, that would probably be a good place to get advice Smile

Thanks I'll try that. I have also sent an email to mamas and papas explaining what's happening as much as I could with the character limit.
When I called the store they suggested ordering a hood kit. But that takes 7-10 working days to arrive, and it's not practical to use the seat for that amount of time without a hood protecting dc from the sun when we're out and about which is quite a lot these days, trying to make the most of the weather.

The seat is a Cybex one (I have the same!) who were really helpful when I contacted them directly rather than going through Mamas and Papas which might be worth a try, I found their email on their website. Could baby not sit in the seat of the pushchair while you're waiting for the hood kit? Or an parasol that clips on the pushchair frame could help Smile
