Can you wash bridesmaid shoes in the machine?

Bought some shoes for dd to wear to a wedding a few weeks ago and they are filthy but I'd like her to wear them again this summer. Can I put them in the machine? They're from Next, ivory-coloured satin-effect bar shoes with little beads on them and a hard sole. Or can I get them professionally cleaned? If so, where and how much?

If you soak them in some soapy water for a while, then give them a v gentle scrub (eg with worn-out toothbrush if you have one) and then put them in the machine in one of those little mesh bags or a pillowcase - or better still a bag each, to protect the beads - gentle wash in machine should be OK (low agitation like wool wash). Put some clothes in with them though to cushion them a bit more.

Good luck. I always try these things! Not sure dry-cleaning would work too well (or be worth it).

Also when they come out of the machine, stuff them with paper, so that they dry in shape
