Hi, I'm new here, forgive me if posting in wrong place.

Does anyone know where I can get decent penpalling stationery? I've just taken up this childhood hobby again and cannot find decent stationery at minimum cost anywhere. The US penfriends I have send me such beautiful letters and I'm stuck for ideas. Paperchase and WH Smith are too extortionate for a few sheets of paper.

The Works is about the only shop where I can find affordable writing paper nowadays - they have sets of 10 sheets and envelopes for £1 (see the writing sets here) and I also bought a couple of these boxes in different designs recently.

Many thanks for your reply! I have tried the works and it's really good and doesn't cost a huge amount. I'm looking for unusual writing pads too though. You know, ones that have more than 10 sheets and have a theme e.g. Beach I suppose writing letters is a dying art these days!
