Triang Trike Parent Handle - help !

This is my first message to mumsnet - so hello everyone, it's been great reading all your chat.

We've been given a perfect Triang trike for our 2 year old DS, but unfortunately it no longer has the parent handle. DS has enjoyed being pushed on friends' trikes so keen to use this, but as I'm 30 weeks pregnant, a handle is pretty essential. Has anyone got a spare one they no longer need, or know where I could get one ( I've tried some suppliers with no luck)? Of course I'll pay postage and package to have it sent here to Glasgow.

Thanks for any advice.

Cammy

Hi Cammy, welcome to MN

We have a Triang trike but we still need the handle I'm afraid. But when ours broke (the little plastic gizmo that stops the handlebars turning too much) I got in touch with "Triang" - (actually a French company called Charton these days) they sent a replacement part with no charge! Worth a try...

Phone number is 01793 752403

address: Superjouet Spares and services
Unit A, Chelworth Ind. Est.
Cricklade,
Swindon,
Wilts., SN6 6HE.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for this Marthamoo.

I'll certainly give it a go. Of course, if my 30 weeks pregnancy hadn't rendered me brain dead I might have noticed that Charton was printed all over the trike !!

Thanks again for your very prompt help, MN is certainly the palce to go to for help.

Cammy

Cammy63 - where are you in Glasgow. Ds has a triang bike, in which he's never really shown any interest, but even if he does, we are unlikely to use the parent handle as he is now approaching 4.

It would only be on loan though, in case we ever have another one (but obvoulsy even IF that were to happen, the need would be a long time away!)

We're in Pollokshields, but go across to Bardowie regulalry, and I work in the centre of town.
