Thinking of buying one of these for dd2's first birthday. They look fun but quite expensive! Anyone had one?

We got ds one of these for christmas. He was 15months. Don't think he's really used it yet. He does like the springy feelers, but apart from that ...

Think he may getmore use from it when he's older, but TBH once he started walking, he wasn't really interested in ride ons. But I do recall dd went through a phase of being keen on ride ons when she was about 2.

IMO I think you should wait until next Christmas when she's more likely to be interested/capable of climbing on and off and will "get" the whole idea of self-propulsion.

I know lots of people who have them . They are great. Very fast. Good on hard floors. The larger one is good too as it lasts till an older age. May be too big for a 1st bday though.

I'd get a dolly buggy as its her 1st bday. cheaper and very popular.

Golly yes - ds LOVES buggies. We also got the larger one because he's pretty big himself, but it's still just a little too big for him to mount himself.

We have the smaller one and got it for ds2's first birthday. He couldn't really ride it until he was about 18 months though.
