I've just invested £100 in a set of GHD hair straightners and they're fab. How have I managed 27 years wihout them????

Worth every penny aren't they?!? Can also get related hair products from GHD too which are very good (I hear my credit card groaning in the corner)

woodpops · 15/07/2004 22:17

They're so quick and easy to use as well. I'm amazed

My DDs have GHS straighteners - carbon copy, usually £39, currently £29 - if you google you'll find relative reviews and GHS compare well with GHD apparently.

Are they seriously THAT good (am secretly hoping someone will say no so i don't buy them ).

I do have some other make ones but they are pretty crap. How are these better ??

granarybeck · 16/07/2004 00:52

have got a the kodo straightners. can't believe how quick and easy they are. what products do you use? always feel a bit like i am frying my hair. currently use the wella hot-iron spray, any other suggestions?

granarybeck · 16/07/2004 00:56

nutcracker. sorry, they are good. i put off buying them for ages , and mine weren't as expensive as some on here (£70). I have straight hair already, but it still is much easier and looks more 'styled', well for me anyway.

nutcracker · 16/07/2004 00:59

Are kodo GHS ones then too ???

My hair is straight too but looks so much better when straightened properly. Dp thinks it's hilarious.

Are they light ?? The ones i have now are really heavy.

Janh · 16/07/2004 01:02

nutty, cannot vouch for either but my dds have GHS and are v happy with them (and 1/3 the price - worth a shot!)

granarybeck · 16/07/2004 01:09

no, i think kodo are just a different mke. they are just the ones my hairdresser persuaded me to buy from her. she cut my hair for me, then offered to straighten it rather than blowdry it. after doing this and it looking ten tomes better than normal, she added that she happened to sell them. £100 later, i was happily driving home with new straightners in bag! not a purchase i regret though, even if my credit card does!

nutcracker · 16/07/2004 01:12

Hmmm maybe i'll have to wait until xmas.

woodpops · 16/07/2004 23:40

I used my flaming mil ghd straightners before I commited to buying them thought they were fab and told her. This was several weeks ago. Finally brought some of my own on Friday and today faming mil has announced she no longer wants hers and is going to sell them. Bloody, bloody mil strikes again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Granerybeck, I brought some Trevor Sorbie straightening addict blow dry spray to use with my straightners and I'm really pleased with it. Alot of these porducts tend to make my hair really greasey but this (touch wood) hasn't yet. Give it a go.
