Any good. If so where do you get cheap ones. Just saw a little boy with a fab one. His mum said it was £10 from Lidle!!!!! Months ago though. Must be some cheaper than the £80 version I've seen(wouldn't pay that for a kid's bike with pedals).

John Lewis haveone for around £40. I got one for DD from ebay, it was new from germany for about £30. DD is only just tall enough!

What are they, though? My sis bought one for her DS, but I have no idea why! How are they different from an ordinary bike, other than that they don't have pedals? I just don't geddit. They certainly didn't have those in my day

I dont get them either, how do you get anywhere minus pedals? V odd.....

I've seen kids wizzing around on those and they look great. I think the idea is that you learn balance before having to worry about pedals and it's easier.

They did have them in your day, it's just that some clever person founf a way to get people to pay for them: in our day dad just took the ppedals off your bike! It is a very good way to te\ch anyone how to ride a bike, as they can separate out the hardest bit - ballancing - from the rest. Once they've got the hang of balancing you put the pedalss back on and they're cycling almost immediately.

You wouldn't believe how mobile this little boy was whizzing down the road and he was only 3 (no help from mum). I think it's something to do with balance, am presuming they leap onto a normal bike later and whizz off. They are apparantly instead of stabilisers, was very scepticle before I saw this little lad. My 3 are 3 & 2 so want to be sure before I invest in 3.
