I really really want a birchbox subscription! How good are they??

I used to get it but a bit hit and miss. I get lovemebeauty now where you can actually pick the stuff you get from a monthly selection and prefer it.

I was really disappointed when I tried Birchbox tbh. It's quite pricey for a few samples of brands I'd never heard of, and the eyebrow pencil in mine arrived with no lid so the inside of the makeup bag (which was the 'box' that month) was all marked. To their credit, Birchbox replaced both the bag and the pencil, but I still feel that the quality is a bit lacking.
