Is there any reason why I should get a sprung one instead of foam?

have always followed the theory that you can get away with a cheap bed but spend as much as you can on a mattress

have no idea why though

when shopping for ds's mattress was overwhelmed by choice so just went for most expensive

It's supposed to support their weight better which is particularly recommended if you are getting a cotbed as they may sleep on it for the next 5 years. That said I think the some expensive foam matresses are better than the cheaper sprung ones.

lol

We got a stupid size cot for ds, aand I wanted to get a new mattress for dd but it would cost a fortune

So I convinced dh we needed a lovely cotbed for her, but forgot it didn't come with a mattress. We don't really have a lot to spend on it, would it be more acceptable to get foam and buy a sprung when we have a bit of extra cash?
