i don't even have a clue where you go to buy a little plug-in heater...

It's for a very small (6ft square) room that we are convertng into a study but that doesn't have its own central heating heater. It needs to be efficient and not very large!

Also roughly how much are they?

A friend of mind bought some halogen ones - apparently they are efficient and cheap to run. I'm seeing her later on so I'll ask her.

Ah thanks Roskva, that sounds great.

Hi snowleopard, here is a link to the heater my friend bought here . She says they work really well and are cheap to run - the room she has one in is slightly larger than your room. Anyway, this website has loads of different types of heaters if this one doesn't suit.

Roskva - brilliant, thanks so much - that's exactly what I wanted, cheaper than I expected and have ordered it! I love MN.
