Long shot - anyone know an unlock code that works for a BenQ-Siemens EF61????

Bought one from Tesco?s with the intention of inserting my Vodafone sim.

Doesn?t work.

Contacted Tesco and their response was ?tough? shoulda bought a sim free ?( yeah, ok, but you don?t sell?em). The phone you have is locked onto our network and we are not gonna tell you how to unlock it.

Took it into a local phone shop only to be told that BenQ-Siemens had gone bust and no-one had the latest software?help £100 quid down the drain.

Trailed through google. Found a site that said it could do a remote unlock (provide a code for a price ? but not guaranteed). Went for it, but doesn?t work.
Has anyone with this handset had any luck?

lots of small corner shops unlock phones for about £10. Look for a sign ' unlock sims' and that should sort you out.

I bought a Nokia phone from Tesco before Christmas with the intention of unlocking it because it was such good value - £40 off. I got a code off the internet, but I can't remember which site. I paid £5 for it.

try a local market, there's usually a man who will do it for a fiver or tenner.

MTAP ? that?s the exact reason I bought mine - £100 quid every where else £60 at Tesco. Problem is, no one seems to have an unblock code that works for this particular phone.
Been to all the local shops that advertise phone unlock/blocking.
1 said straight away that he didn?t have the right code/software for it ? didn?t think anyone would cos BenQ-Siemens went bust shortly after releasing the EF61.
Another had the software for the E61, tired it, and didn?t work.
Got 4 codes off the internet ? none of them work?..

Was so hoping someone else on here had one and had successfully managed to get it unblocked

Sorry link isn't great, apparently they do unlock the phone you have at the cost of £9.50

Thanks Fimbo ? been there ? they do list this model as an unlockable one BUT you have to send the phone away to them?..I would rather keep this as a last resort as not too comfortable with the idea of sending my phone to ?someone off the internet?
